I think it's time to tell!

Hi Everyone!

I firstly want to thank everyone that follows my blog and leaves me such nice comments! I really appreciate it!!

Today is another personal blog post. I have been keeping a little secret and I think it's time I told it! The real reason I have had to slow down a bit (and move house) is because I have another little ankle bitter on it's way! Yep I am pregnant! I am due next year!

I am never ever in any of the photographs with my family and often shy away from it! But this article really made me think about it! Why shouldn't my kids have some photographs of me as well in their little albums so when they look back they can see - yes I was also there!

So I set up my camera on a tripod and connected the remote control and decided to give it a try - well this didn't work, my son just wanted to look through the viewfinder the whole time and then would hold the shutter release button down and take a whole stream of photographs of nothing!
So I decided to try and get some self-portraits instead! This is a first for me and I really enjoyed it! I have been putting off telling everyone that I am pregnant and I thought well a couple of photographs would be a much nicer way to make the announcement!

So here is what I got:

I throughly enjoyed this and I am sure that I will be trying it again in the future. It is a great way to experiment with light and poses. I recommend trying this to anyone as its a great way to practise and get to know your camera. And if you are anything like me stop shying away from the camera and take some pictures for your kids!!
I hope you all enjoy them!
Thanks for stopping by!

Cassie - I found your blog and website via the Clickin Moms workshop forum. What are you doing taking a beginner's class? Your website has some truly breathtaking photos! I'll be looking forward to seeing what you produce over the next 4 weeks. I suspect I can learn quite a bit from you.

A big congratulations on your news too. I wish I'd had the foresight to take some self portraits when pregnant.
